Biography

Los Angeles-based guitarist Mat Gurman holds a BFA from California Institute of the Arts and attended jazz theory and improvisation classes at the Dick Grove Music Workshops. An in-demand session player, Gurman has recorded on over 100 CDs. He has played with k.d. Lang, the Backstreet Boys, and Tanya Tucker as well as the Broadway productions of Wicked and Grease. His television and film credits include work with Jim Carrey, Merv Griffin, "Dawson's Creek," and "Star Trek: Deep Space 9," to name a few. In addition, he has released two solo albums: Journey to the Center of the Groove and Between Nirvana and the Bomb.
