Adrian Legg

Biography

One of the great fingerstyle virtuosos, British guitarist Adrian Legg is anything but a traditional acoustic fingerstylist. He plays much of his material on a custom-made piezo-equipped electric guitar through a bevy of effects and over various synth pads. He also employs banjo tuners with stops for mid-phrase pitch changes, has an affinity for pedal steel-style chord bends, and uses various notched and half capos to generate truly confounding sounds. All of these elements plus his signature cascading rolls and supernatural sense for melodic invention make him one of the most jaw-dropping yet tasteful guitarists of our time.
