Biography

One of America's most brilliant classical guitarists, William Kanengiser has a unique repertoire ranging from Mozart, Handel, and Bartok to explorations of Eastern European and Caribbean sounds. He is a founding member of the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, has released several solo albums, a live concert DVD titled Classical Guitar and Beyond, and two instructional guitar DVDs. He also worked as Ralph Macchio's guitar double and coach for the motion picture Crossroads. Kanengiser is currently a member of the guitar faculty at the USC Thornton School of Music, where he taught since 1983.
