Biography

British guitarist Nick Bowcott first hit the scene with Grim Reaper, when their debut album, See You in Hell, hit U.S. shores in 1984. Part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, the band found moderate success, releasing their second album, Fear No Evil, in 1985. The group disbanded in 1988, as the metal scene moved toward both heavier thrash sounds and lighter radio-friendly glam fare. Bowcott then became a freelance music writer for magazines like Circus and Guitar World. He has also spent time in artist relations and marketing for Marshall Amplification and, most recently, as Marketing Director for Fender Musical Instruments.
